This is supposed to be an irreverent travel blog. However, I find it hard to be irreverent about a sunset.
Before I started blogging, or carrying a digital camera, I watched sunsets from places such as the Altiplano of Bolivia. The North Slope of Alaska. Maui. Santa Monica. Bocas Del Toro. From a sail boat in the middle of the Caribbean. In the Montana mountains. These are just the sunsets I remember as spectacular. I would want any one of them back, at least once.
A sunset is a supurb way for the day to say ” fare-the-well, see ya on the morrow”. Even if it was just a so-so day, a wonderful sunset can send you into the evening with sublimity.
Traveling offers the traveler this sublimity many times a day. It guarantees it at that recurring time of day called sundown.
OK, that is enough of my sophomoric philosophical blabbering. Sit back and enjoy some good photographs with some quotes provided by writers with far more talent than I.

I hope you enjoyed my sun sets. Do not expect any sunrise pictures, I do not get up that early.
Please share with FB friends. Please be the first to comment and say, “wow, what a sunset!” See, I even wrote it for you!
